Our focus will be on fulfilling the Government’s agenda in developing New Agriculture to revitalise the agriculture sector to become the third engine of growth after the services and manufacturing sectors.

With emphasis on the people, planet and profits (3Ps), all MAFC strategies will remain sensitive to the combined needs of all stakeholders. We recognize the symbiotic relationship between these three integral elements and understand that the sustainability can only be achieved through an appropriate balance of these elements.

MAFC recognizes its social responsibility towards all stakeholders in its day to day operations. It takes pride in providing a safe working environment for its employees, and dealing with them on a fair and equitable basis.

It also incorporates environmentally-friendly methodologies in all aspects of its operations, including best management practices on sustainable agriculture and in meeting the international food safety standards.

To ensure a sustainable livelihood for all its employees, the processing and production of all MAFC-related products are technically efficient and economically viable.

By employing proper methods of distribution and transportation, it is ensured that fresh produce is delivered to the consumers in full, on time, accurately and safely without compromising its quality, thus retaining its nutritional value.

This involves large-scale commercial farming, the wider application of modern technology, production of high quality and value-added products, unlocking the potential in biotechnology, increased convergence of information and communications technology, and the participation of entrepreneurial farmers and a skilled workforce.

MAFC will work in tandem with the regulatory bodies, groups and organisations to assist in planning strategies geared towards the sustainable implementation of:

• expanding agricultural production;
• expanding agro-based processing activities and products diversification;
• strengthening marketing and global networking;
• enhancing incomes of smallholders and farmers
• improving the service delivery systems
